Ilana Zackon is a Canadian actor born in Toronto, Ontario and raised in Montreal, Quebec. Since the age of three, Ilana has always been performing - whether on stage, behind the mic or on screen. She trained at John Abbott College's Professional Theatre Program in Montreal as well as HB Studio in NYC. On stage, notable productions include The Magical Journey (Cross-Canada tour), So How Should I Be? (Presentation House Theatre), Nuclear Sky (Title 66) and Under Milk Wood (Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2013). Ilana can also be heard as the voice of Catalyst in Tuque Games' Livelock, Katherina von Dernsbach in Games Workshops' Mordheim: City of the Damned and Mazaam in the new educational app for kids age 3-6 Mazaam. Additionally, she has worked for Ubisoft on various projects as a voice actor, translator and dialect coach.
Ilana is also the founder of social issue theatre company, Project X Performance. She co-created, directed and performed in Part I (Montreal Off-Fringe Festival 2016), as well as directed and dramaturged in / cognitō: a living art exhibit on mental health awareness (Studio Fleur D'Asphalte). Ilana is incredibly passionate about using theatre as a platform to create awareness and empathy, worldwide.
Ilana enjoys singing, playing the ukulele, contact improvisation, journalling, travelling and is 260 hour certified yoga instructor. She currently splits her time between Vancouver and Montreal.
